Volunteer Call
Do you want to help more children and families access books and learning opportunities?
Join Libros para Todos.
We are looking for committed volunteers for the following areas:
School Tutoring
Work as part of a team of volunteers to help students in reading and writing skills.

Requirements: At least intermediate Spanish; availability one morning per week for at least 4 months; preferably experience working with children.

Location: San Miguel de Allende or Dolores Hidalgo.

Orientations for new volunteers begin in September and again in January. (Attendance at an orientation is required before starting.)
Special Events Volunteers
Role: Ushering, logistical support at events, and driving/transporting materials or staff.
Requirements: Punctuality, willingness to work shifts, and for drivers, a valid license and appropriate insurance.
Marketing and Multimedia Volunteers
Role: Photography and video of events and programs; graphic design; support for marketing and fundraising campaigns.
Requirements: Demonstrable experience in photography/videography, design, marketing, or fundraising; portfolio or examples of work.

Our Program
In 2018, LPT recognized the need to connect with schools through out the year to help develop their reading programs and to work with children who were falling behind in literacy.
For these reasons, we began a program whose mission is to develop an ongoing relationship with our partner schools. Our coordinator and bilingual volunteers visit schools twice weekly throughout the school year to help students falling behind in reading and to help with reading programs.
If you reside in San Miguel, or Dolores Hidalgo, speak Spanish at an advanced level and enjoy working with children, consider volunteering with Libros para Todos.
